Job Summary
Provides direct administrative support to the Research Leadership faculty and other leaders/faculty as assigned in the University of Utah School of Dentistry. This position will need to develop a working knowledge of the related research activities happening across the UHealth campus and be able to engage with their counterparts in those areas accordingly to develop working relationships with research support staff in the medical school, college of nursing, pharmacy, and all areas across UHealth.
This position is eligible for a hybrid (telecommuting and in-office) rotating schedule.
Members of the School of Dentistry form positive and productive relationships with staff, students and faculty to support the mission, vision, values and PROMISE standards of the organization. Foster a supportive, anti-racist, equitable, and inclusive environment for our patients, students, faculty, staff and the communities we serve.

Incumbents use independent judgement in resolving various problems that involve faculty, staff, students and the general public. Incumbents in this position must use judgement and discretion when advising others of Research Leadership's view on policies and other issues.
Incumbents in this position may be required to represent Research Leadership at meetings and interact with individuals at the highest levels in public and private organizations on a local and national basis.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Health Care Administration or a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Two years office management and supervisory experience, demonstrated knowledge of finance and budgeting, and public relations skills required. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.

Essential Functions
- Provides administrative support for the School of Dentistry Research Leadership faculty by scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and conferences, calendaring and other tasks as assigned.
- Attending meetings as required and recording/preparing minutes for each meeting. Maintaining these minutes and confidential files for accreditation and school records.
- Collects, organizes and analyzes data for specialized projects.
- Resolves a variety of complex administrative problems for faculty, staff, students and the public.
- Assists with the development and implementation of department research policies.
- Manages the School of Dentistry research correspondence and activities.
- Researches, analyzes and prepares administrative reports and documents relating to research activities.
- Represents research executives at meetings as required.
- Coordinator and manage any special projects as required by the Research Leadership faculty and any other duties as assigned.
- Provide customer service including greeting and directing visitors to the School of Dentistry, answering telephone calls, processing correspondence and covering the front reception desk as needed.
- Provides assistance with School of Dentistry events as needed.
