Physical Requirements
This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; and standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and occasionally performing tasks with repetitive motions (such as typing); and working at heights above four feet. Also involves some job-related travel (less than 10% of time); risk of back injury from moving, lifting or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; risk of injuries from use of equipment on the job; and exposure to radiation, burns, cuts/punctures, blood-borne or airborne pathogens, and combative/violent people.

Job Summary
The Cardiopulmonary Technician in the Adult Echo Lab (Chandler and Good Samaritan) is responsible for preparing patients for stress testing; assisting the patient to ensure safety at all times; performing hemodynamic monitoring (taking blood pressures); assisting stress test monitor (RN, ARNP, PA, or physician) with monitoring patient's physical abilities, hemodynamics and stress EKG; and accurately complying with all departmental protocols. The Cardiopulmonary Tech will work closely with the stress test monitor and under the direction of both the Technical and Medical Directors.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of normal heart rhythm and basic arrhythmias; experience with 12-Lead ECGs; organizational skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, as well as follow hospital and unit policies and procedures.

Preferred Education/Experience
Minimum of one to two years of direct experience monitoring and interpreting cardiac physiological data preferred.
