Description
The Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time academic professional track (non-tenure) position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning fall 2022. This position has the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of instructional associate professor, instructional assistant professor, or instructional professor depending on qualifications.
The successful applicant will be required to teach, advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and participate in all aspects of the department's activities, as well as serve the profession. The position is requested to a) meet the increasing demand of students who are enrolled in the Master of Engineering in Engineering with a specialization in cybersecurity program, the cybersecurity certificate, and the cybersecurity minor, b) add additional professional skill development and mentoring; and c) meet the need for additional curriculum development in the areas of cybersecurity relevant to the workforce.
Qualifications
For appointments at instructional assistant professor, instructional associate professor, or instructional professor level, applicants must have a masters or doctoral degree in a closely related engineering or science discipline.
