The Cash Control Specialist & Payroll Processor is a member of the Controllers Office within the Finance and Administration Division of Suffolk University. This position is responsible for matching cash items, payroll processing, and other duties as assigned.
Primary/Principal Responsibilities:
Responsible for reviewing daily bank transactions to identify activity and notifying appropriate departments
- Monitor Advancement activity and notify the Advancement Operations
- Monitor deposit chargebacks and notify the source area
- Record selected bank activity including fees, interest income, and cancelled checks
- Assist with resolving bank account inquiries and issues
- Notify source area of unrecorded activity
- Confirm all bank transactions have been recorded on a timely basis.
- Assist with the timely processing of employee payroll data based on an assigned production checklist
- Perform general payroll daily duties including responding to payroll inquiries
- Assist international student employees in completing Sprinttax documentation
Requirements/Qualification:
- High school diploma
- 1-2 years of experience in payroll
- Workday Payroll or Financials experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus
- This is a hybrid position
