Head of People & Culture
A national social impact organization is seeking a new leader for its People & Culture Team. You will be responsible for leading human resources, culture efforts, benefits administration, recruitment, talent development, DEI&B, and the operations of its New York City headquarters. The organization is in a new phase of growth and expanding its impact which requires a strong leader to work alongside the executive team to manage change, to facilitate team building and to enable collaboration.
Reporting to the CEO and partnering closely with the day-to-day executive leadership, you will be a critical advisor, providing timely, high-quality counsel on a diverse set of strategic and talent-related areas. You will bring a strategic approach to the entire employee lifecycle from the early stages of attraction and on-boarding through career development, benefits, learning, training, and performance management.
Responsibilities:
- Define and evolve the team member experience and lifecycle from recruitment, onboarding, employee development, engagement, retention, and offboarding
- Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with our company's values, goals and objectives
- Partner with the leadership team to provide counsel and to build out new capabilities
- Design development experiences that promote a culture of engagement, collaboration, inclusion, and belonging
- Oversee the development of surveys to collect team input, measure team satisfaction and engagement, and lead the development of go-forward action plans
- Oversee the organization's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging team and efforts
- Lead the performance and 360 review process, promotion and growth philosophies
- In partnership with the Internal Communications Team, craft internal communications pertaining to People and Culture activities
- Effectively manage teams to ensure smooth operations, coach and support direct reports to develop his/her/their own personal leadership style, and grow their skills by coordinating professional development opportunities
- Initiate, recommend, and implement best practices in all areas of employee relations
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, HR policies and procedures, including equitable compensation, exit interviews, investigations, etc.
- Serve as an advisor on employee relationship issues
Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 years' experience and leadership in roles of different levels of size, complexity, business model maturity, etc
- Bachelor's degree
- HR / Coaching certification with a recognized institution preferred

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives keeping all in balance and delivering within cost, timing, and change impact expectations.

The base salary hiring range for this position is $300,000-$350,000; final offer will be based on the skill level and experience of the candidate.
