Job Summary/Basic Function

Perform advanced administrative tasks to execute assignments related to the following: Prepare administrative, professional and support staff position classification studies for existing position reviews, develop and classify new positions; conduct research both internally and externally and develop effective documentation to support conclusions and recommendations related to staffing, classification or related issues; conduct analysis and research of market data trends related to salary and compensation studies, conduct administrative and classified position job audits; Design, develop and implement pay structure methodologies for requested upward mobility/progression series in partnership with HRS and department leadership, Research peer institutions and governmental agencies' successful personnel development/advancement methods utilized to strengthen the recruitment and retention of their workforce. Respond to national, local and ad hoc salary surveys, research and resolve discrepant Banner data. Prepare effective written recommendations to articulate complex recommendations to management. Provide assistance and backup for the recruitment of classified and administrative positions.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required. Master's preferred.

Required Related Experience

Three years of full-time progressively responsible experience in human resources or compensation.

Desirable Related Experience

Five years of full-time experience in human resources with compensation analysis in a higher education environment.

Desirable License/Registration/Certification

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification preferred.
