Job Summary
The administrative assistant will provide administrative support for the Health Professions division, including administrative oversite of the Professional Services Center and The Massage Clinic by Gateway.
(10-month position)
Job Duties:
- Performs general support duties such as preparing correspondence, reports, filing, preparing agendas and minutes for meetings, etc. Assists with confidential materials related to the department.
- Serves as receptionist such as greeting students, visitors, and clients.
- Assist with answering low-complexity student questions and helps navigate students to the correct department or resource, if applicable.
- Provide a high standard of customer service when assisting students with problem resolution and the ability to seek input from an alternate authority, if necessary, using good judgment and working effectively under pressure.
- Provide oversight to The Massage Clinic by Gateway. Assist clients with making appointments in person or by phone. Greet clients and assist with any paperwork. Perform cash handling procedures including reconciliation of generated revenue. Develop and maintain the schedule in MassageBook for the clinic in collaboration with the Program Director. Find part-time or student workers to cover hours outside of general working hours. The clinic is currently open in the spring semester only.
- Assist the division of Health Professions with the recruitment of new students through events. Have necessary knowledge of other health professions programming to assist students and potential students with questions. Send out correspondence to inquiring students.
- Maintain all brochures and Program Maps with assistance from Marketing and Program Coordinators.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent
- 1 year of relevant experience

- Ability to multi-task, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines with high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
- Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in and understanding of the importance of working with students from diverse populations.
- Experience working at the community college level.
