Hostess Brands LLC Manager, Food Safety Position Responsible for leading the development, implementation, and revisions of corporate food safety policies, procedures, and forms relative to Food Safety Plan and Food Defense Plan, and providing necessary training to Quality Managers at each Hostess facility. Lead food safety specialists and quality managers at each Hostess facility in overseeing implementation of updated and new food safety policies; providing training to the same. Oversee, manage, implement kill-step validations for thermal processes (developing science and rationalization behind food safety plans) for all Hostess Bakeries. Ensure continuous food safety performance through food safety audits of our facilities using the science-based principles for food safety. Deliver high-level of technical competency on all aspects of FSMA, SFCA, HACCP and BRC. Provide oversight, training, and support for maintaining effective and efficient Food Defense/Security plans for facilities. Responsible for leading and supporting risk-based analysis for preventive controls; lead alignment of all facilities with best practice food safety policy implementation across all Hostess manufacturing and distribution facilities. Lead food safety training and workshops to align on regulatory expectations. Engage with industry leaders by staying current with Food Safety Regulations for the US and Canada through industry conferences, committees, workshops, and training. Develop and manage risk assessments for suppliers and supplier ingredients. Collaborate with external consultants auditing Hostess Brands facilities leading to FSMA readiness. Develop and report food safety related metrics analysis. Ensures action plans developed to address corrective actions with tracking and follow up posts audits validating corrective action completion. Execute Food Safety Risk Assessments, including in plant audits, and food safety plan ingredient and process hazards analysis. Support Awareness, Education, Training, and Measurement of food safety policies, practices and procedures. Teach, coach, and implement best practices for Environmental Monitoring program and other sanitation verification activities across all Hostess Plants. Verify and validate all changes to the Food Safety and Food Defense Plan. Utilize computer support systems for data capture and manipulation, basic analysis and reports for product food safety metrics and information.
