ORAA Administrator
Job Summary
Perform and facilitates the post-award sponsored projects administration for UMCES. The position is responsible for review, set-up and approval of contract and grant awards and related sub-awards. Recommends research and accoutning related policies and procedures and ensures compliance with relevant federal, state and private regulations and laws. Functions as back-up for proposal review and submission. Depending on experience, primary duties may be more in-depth in one aspect of grant management than another.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs all tasks related to post-award contract and grant management
- Performs all duties related to sub-award contract set-up and compliance monitoring to include contract set-up, expenditure monitoring, term extensions, contract close-outs, sub-recipient monitoring and reporting;
- Recommends and implements research administration and compliance policies and procedures and provides training
- Provides post award guidance to UMCES faculty and administration personnel
- Function as back-up for proposal submissions as needed
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree required with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting or contract field.
- High level of analytical, communication, computer literacy, and interpersonal skills is a must
- Preferably the candidate would have experience in sponsored award administration management; knowledge of federal accoutning policies, principles and standard procedures related to contracts and grants financial management; and funding trends that may affect the many aspects of research administration is preferred.
Salary Range
- $70,000-$85,000
