Responsibilities

Scope of Work

Relationship Dynamics Ambassadors will proactively serve and support our Operations Team in delivering on our Cornerstone of Reliable Resources, Reliable Outcomes, and Reliable Insights, which are fueled by our Genuine Care for People. Our Relationship Dynamics Team will embody all of these with a high priority on our Genuine Care for People. Aligning with our strong company vision, strategic plan, and  outstanding supervision, we will consistently focus on three guiding principles in every location, on every jobsite with every employee we engage: Providing CARE as we demonstrate and influence a high level of genuine care for people, CONNECTING our valuable employees to the essential resources they need to help them stay focused and equipped for the important work in front of them, and COACHING our workforce through personal growth opportunities and their career development.

Position Requirements 

Ability to build and develop strong foundational relationships among our Supervivsion. Consistently seeking alignment and unity in the mission and strategy of Gaylor Electric.

Instill inspiration and encouragement in our employees. Finding ways to instill positivity, sharing vision, building confidence, delivering healthy challenges, while recognizing our high performers.

Collaborate with our supervision through job site transitions. As manpower needs for jobs wind down and others ramp up, our RDT will help ensure our craft employees stay informed, inspired and engaged through the process as we communicate with job site supervision.

Demonstrate a high level of discernment and decision making ability. As we interact with employees and situations arise, our RDA’s need to be able to discern the appropriate course of action necessary for the employee to move forward in a healthy way. Need to have the strong sense of teamwork as we collaborate with other Gaylor Electric departments.

Be consistently present and available on our job sites on a weekly basis. Schedule intentional travel to various job sites / locations each week to engage and be present with our employees on a personal level, taking reliable follow up communication notes and delivering on specific action items.

Assist with training and certifications. Work closely with our Education Team and job site supervision to keep certifications and annual training up to date, as well as encouraging additional training to further employees’ knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Provide coaching and mentoring. To be the best place to work in the world and continue to be the highest performing contractor of excellence, we must increase efficiency, project delivery, and the overall  leadership capacity of our people. Relationship Dynamics Ambassadors will serve as mentors in helping guide potential leaders along a career pathway that fits their particular skillset and abilities.

 


Qualifications

Working Conditions

  • Proficient in speaking both Spanish and English (bi-lingual)
  • Must be organized and self-driven
  • Must be able to remain calm in times of heightened emotional situations
  • Moderate to high regional travel is expected
  • Must work well with others as a member of a team to complete tasks
  • Must be a confident communicator and comfortable facilitating large and small groups
  • Must be able to work flexible work schedule, as required, as well as on short notice
  • May require working in all-weather elements (heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.) depending on job location and/or time of year
  • Must be able to utilize construction site sanitary facilities (port-o-lets)
  • Must wear personal protective equipment (i.e. hard hat, safety glasses, safety harness, and respirator) as required

Physical Requirements 

  • Ability to work while constantly sitting or moving on one's feet
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
  • Possess good vision/hearing (normal or corrected)

Education 

High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience. A degree in either Communications or Human Resources would also be ideal in this role.  

Experience 

High level of interpersonal relationship building skills, strong administrative, computer, organization, and communication skills. Coaching, mentoring, and leadership competencies. Experience working with a diverse workforce.
