Position Summary:
The Senior Counselor will join a team of Central Student Services staff servicing both undergraduate and graduate students with Financial Aid, Student Accounting, Registration, and other student related needs. The position will actively serve students and their families through chat, phone, and in-person interactions. The incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders and support and utilize software. In addition, this position will assist in developing and implementing specific policies, programs, and services to ensure student requirements and needs are properly communicated and accurately addressed in collaboration with the Financial Aid, Student Accounting, and Registrar offices.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree required
Minimum Experience:
One year of work experience requiredCustomer service experience in higher education or office setting preferred

Advise and counsel prospective and current students and families on policy and processes, unique circumstances for individual applicants, and options for funding a college education.
Advise and counsel prospective and current students and families on policy and processes, unique circumstances for individual students, and options for submitting payments to their student charges and fees.
Assess and interpret Financial Aid, Student Accounting, and Registrar policies and procedures to the successful implementation and administration of collaborative student essential services.
Collaborate with university stakeholders for programming, visits, and events; demonstrate exceptional professionalism, as well as excellence in customer service, collaboration, cross-training and performance.
Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned.
