PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Donor Engagement Officer (DEO) will be focused on building a portfolio of new high capacity donors and be
responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding individuals, corporations, and foundations with the
potential to make significant financial contributions of $25,000 and above to the CCO. The DEO plays a critical role in
expanding CCO's donor base and securing major gifts to support the mission and programs. This position reports to the
VP for Advancement and will work within the Advancement department to identify opportunities in all CCO regions to align
new donors with strategic needs for mission.

Education
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or fundraising certification preferred.

Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, sales, or related field, with a proven track record of securing major gifts.
Proficiency with social networking tools, database management software (ie. RE NXT, Salesforce), and Microsoft Office Suite.

Skill Set
Demonstrated success in identifying, cultivating, and soliciting high capacity donors.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors from diverse backgrounds.
Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute effective solicitation plans.
Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor motivations, and philanthropic trends.
Commitment to the mission and values of the organization.

Ability to lift 20lbs.
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for travel
Must be able to travel approximately 30% travel, as needed.
