Collects financial information on a regular basis from each organization. Ensures compliance with Dartmouth policies, including but not limited to business purpose support, reporting, records retention; assists treasurers and others in reconciling books and identifying corrections.

Compiles all financial information to produce financial reports each term for each organization to inform their review of financial stability of the organization, setting dues, fees, rents and for tax form preparation; Provides guidance to each organization with developing a comprehensive annual budget for the operation of the organization.

Trains treasurers and others on successful bookkeeping practices, providing leadership and life skills that will benefit them beyond Dartmouth.

Description
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp
Bachelors plus 3-5 years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- 3-5 years of experience in finance/bookkeeping, financial reporting.
- Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, resourcefulness and ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and proficiency in communicating financial information to non-financial clients.
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive and productive relationships with all campus constituencies.
- Ability to become proficient on Quicken and other financial software tools.
- Ability to develop deep working knowledge of Dartmouth policies, procedures, and financial applications.
- Demonstrated cultural competence; proven effectiveness in serving the needs of a diverse undergraduate student population.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal and departmental integrity, creativity, and professionalism.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, and/or CPA, preferred.
- Experience working with student organizations, preferred.
- Experience in a college environment preferred.
