Director of Human Resources
Seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Human Resources professional to join Chestnut's executive leadership team as the agency's Human Resources Director. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to set and achieve goals related to staffing, recruitment, DEI initiatives, employee onboarding, and staff retention. The ideal candidate will continually seek ways to improve HR Department structure and performance.
Just as Chestnut is a leading provider of behavioral and primary health care, the HR Director will take a lead role in ensuring that the department provides responsive, customer service-oriented HR support for 650 employees across ten locations in Central and Southern Illinois and Missouri.

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field required; master's degree preferred. Minimum 5 years' HR management experience. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred. Ability to think strategically, drive solutions, collaborate, and deliver exceptional customer service. Professional experience administering compensation and benefits; developing policies; managing projects; and overseeing employee relations, employment laws and regulations, and HR compliance. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, organizational, time management, supervisory, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. Must have ability to drive.
