The Position
We are seeking a dependable self-starter who is able to execute senior-level tasks associated with compliance, financial management and bookkeeping to ensure clients are in accordance with FEC and state reporting guidelines and tax regulations.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Client Services
- Manages a portfolio of non-connected clients in the division.
- May manage accounts payable and payroll for clients.
- Responsible for FEC and state report preparation.
- Reviews FEC and state reports at a detailed level. Responsible for report reconciliation and quality control.
- Helps to resolve client issues, or escalates, as necessary.
- Serves as point of contact for clients for budget and financial management services. Prepares multi-year budgets and provides updated budget and cash flow reports as necessary.
Management Duties
- Helps manage quality control by contributing to and reviewing team members' client work products (budgets, weekly reports, etc.).
- Supports team members regarding FEC and state rules and reporting processes.
- Advises on FEC and state compliance-related issues as they arise in connection with fundraising, communications, use of funds, best practices, etc. (including review of all printed materials).
- Involved in the recruiting and hiring of new staff, subject to managing director and principal approval.
- Makes recommendations as to staff and position terminations, subject to managing director and principal approval.
- Serves as supervisor to team members, executing supervisory duties such as performance reviews, managing workflow, coaching & mentorship, and general oversight and accountability.
- Executes training plans for new staff and ensures continuing education for current staff.
- Manages employee schedules and client coverage.
- Fosters teamwork among staff.

Education and Experience
The successful candidate holds a degree from a four-year college or equivalent experience and has a minimum of five years' experience with campaign finance and regulations.
