Maintenance Mechanic
Serving our hydroelectric facilities in NY, this position requires the ability to perform skilled work such as electrical and mechanical installation, maintenance, operations, testing, troubleshooting, inspection and repair work on systems and equipment associated with hydroelectric power generation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and operation of hydro-electric generating station equipment and appurtenances;
- Maintain dams, powerhouses, axillary buildings and grounds, gate structures, fish passage facilities, trashracks, penstocks, log booms, flashboards etc.;
- Prepare maintenance and operating reports and documents, as required;
- Comply with safety and environmental rules and regulations, hazardous materials and oil spill prevention programs, and other applicable company policies or plans;
- Under direct supervision, work with a small team or alone to achieve task specific goals as mentioned above;
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in an industrial environment preferably power generation;
- A high school diploma or equivalent required;
- Valid NYS driver’s license required, must be able to obtain a commercial drivers license;
- 2-year technical degree in electrical or mechanical discipline preferred;
