JOB OVERVIEW
The ACGME is looking for a highly skilled Research Analyst, CLER with extensive knowledge and practical experience in quantitative and qualitative research. This position will be responsible for supporting research and evaluation activities across the team. From planning and executing to analyzing and reporting, the Research Analyst, CLER is essential to successful program functioning. The Research Analyst, CLER will refine, strengthen, and implement sections of the measurement, evaluation, and quality improvement plan across the program. Candidates should be qualified to develop quantitative/qualitative data collection tools, conduct detailed and complex analyses using advanced statistical methods, and interpret findings for diverse audiences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with all phases of program evaluation design and implementation.
- Supports the development of program monitoring and improvement strategies that increase program fidelity and promote program quality and organizational learning.
- Contributes to the design of specific data collection instruments (e.g., surveys and interview protocols) that ensure a robust stream of information.
- Supports the development, organization, and management of data collection activities and longitudinal databases.
- Implements appropriate data management strategies for a wide range of objectives.
- Conducts data quality assurance activities.
- Works closely with team members to validate and ensure accuracy of data.
- Compiles data and generate reports to document status of datasets.
- Works with large and complex datasets utilizing qualitative and quantitative research skills, including detailed and complex statistical analyses as needed.
- Interprets, summarizes, and communicates analyses into meaningful data tables, sophisticated visualizations, presentations, and documentation.
- Assists in the development of materials across multiple modes of dissemination (e.g., written reports, briefs, scientific papers, technical manuals) for various stakeholder groups.
- Creates ad hoc reports or data files in response to specific data inquiries.
- Documents observations of periodic site visits to assess the quality of data collected by the program, verifies the accuracy of reported data, and reports on program quality.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum
- Masters' degree in statistics, social science, or related discipline that provides a solid foundation in mixed-methods research methodology.
- Minimum five to seven years of professional experience in monitoring and evaluation or in an applied research setting.
- Experience working in complex organizations with diverse program evaluation needs.
- Advanced knowledge of evaluation frameworks, principles, and methodology.
- Excellent research and data collection methodology skills.
- Experience in advanced statistical techniques.
- Expertise in analyzing large data sets using SPSS or SAS and advanced statistical techniques (proficiency in SPSS preferred).
- Experience with qualitative data analysis software (e.g., NVivo, MAXQDA).
- Experience with web-based surveys using commercially available software.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Preferred
- PhD in a relevant field of study.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS
- This position is based in a typical office environment with no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
- Most of the work performed is normally done in the ACGME office and/or home office with the typical physical demands of an office environment.
